Dear Parents and Guardians:

Deanery Mass: All students K-6th grade will be attending a special mass with Bishop Hying on Tuesday, October 25. A field trip form was sent home. Please remember to fill it out and send it back. Students should be wearing St. Victor polo, lunch will be provided that day.

Picture Retake Day: Your child’s pictures are in today's Wednesday folder. If you would like to have your child’s school pictures retaken, it will be on Wednesday, November 2. You need to return your child’s original picture packet back to school if you intend to have retakes. If your child was absent on the original day, they will get their picture taken on retake day (even if you did not order them), so their picture can appear in the classroom composites. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the office.

Lions Club Eye Exam: Yesterday the Monroe Lions Club did their annual eye exam on all of our students. In the folder today are the results. Your child will have a Referral Form ONLY if they did not pass the exam and need to see an eye doctor. If you have any questions please contact the office.

Helping Hand and Hearts: Located in the hallway outside of the 4K classroom are some hands and hearts that our teachers have filled out with some items that they could use to help make their teaching and classroom better. If grandparents (or parents) are interested in helping out, grab one off the bulletin board and stop and see Jenni in the office. As always, thanks for your generosity towards our teachers and school!

Halloween 2022: We again will celebrate Halloween on Monday, Oct. 31. If parents would like to join us for the Table and Treat (info was in last week’s & today’s envelope). We will begin with a short Halloween parade at 2:15 in the gym, followed by the Table and Treat. If students would like to wear their costumes all day, please make sure they are able to independently manage the bathroom, if not please send their costumes for them to change into. Whatever is most convenient for your family. Please make sure the costumes fit our dress code.

A reminder no violent or overly scary costumes, overly tight (modesty please) and no weapons.

All Saints’ Day: We will celebrate the holy day of All Saints on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Our 4th grade Saints’ Fair projects will be on display after mass. Please wear your blue polo that day.

St. Victor School Spirit Wear: There was an order form that went home last Thursday if you would like to purchase new gear for this school year. The order is due on Wed. Oct. 26 please indicate if this is a gift and should not be sent home with your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office. Thanks in advance for your support of this project.

Pregnancy Center Bottle Drive: A reminder that we are still collecting loose change for the Pregnancy Center. These baby bottles are to be returned by Wednesday, October 26. Thank you in advance for your support of this project.

Christian Parenting in a Technology Driven World: On Thursday, November 10 we are excited to bring to St. Clare of Assisi Parish/St. Victor School Justin Bangert a well known Christian counselor and speaker. This is a great opportunity for parents (and 6th grade students and older) to learn about how you can continue to be a true Christian as we navigate social media and technology. The talk will begin at 6:30 pm in the new lower level at church. Child care is provided for 6 months to 5th grade. Please plan on attending, this is a great opportunity for all of us!

Monday, Nov. 14: There will be NO SCHOOL for St. Victor School students(4K-6th grades) only on Monday, Nov. 14. Some of the faculty will be traveling to Dodgeville for a Math Professional Development day, while the other half will be traveling to St. Jerome’s in Columbus.

Monday, November 28: There is NO SCHOOL for 4K on this day. The School District of Monroe is also not in school that day, but there WILL BE SCHOOL for St. Victor School. NO busing but hot lunch will be provided that day.

We are so excited for the opportunity to open for the Notre Dame Glee Club this Friday night. Thank you so to Ms. Blanc for preparing our students as well as the Monroe Arts Center for providing this experience.

Thank you for all you do to support our school and parish community! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school.

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
