February 16, 2022

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Our Mardi Party 2022 is happening soon! Thanks to all who have sold raffle tickets, donated items, purchased a party pack, or sponsored the event. It is going to be a great night filled with fun! A reminder to PLEASE ORDER your PARTY PACK by the end of this week. We need to make sure we have all the necessary items ordered for your party pack. The auction bidding will be available beginning on Thursday, Feb. 24 and ending on Sunday, Feb. 27. Currently the auction is filled with about 150 items, so the more bidders the better! The link to view the auction will be sent to you next week. The Mardi Party will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 26. It will be broadcast live on Facebook as well as through our website www.stclaregreencounty.org all friends and family are able to watch this hour of fun and craziness! By passing information about the auction to your friends and family (near and far) you will help generate an interest in our bidding. Last year’s auction had winning bidders from: Arizona, Minnesota, Florida and West Virginia! So the impact is far reaching, and will benefit our school community!

We are currently at 365 raffle tickets sold! Thank you so much, I think the students enjoyed seeing their principal receive a pie in the face this past Monday. If you would like to see your child’s principal “duct taped” to the wall, we need to reach 500 tickets sold! I know we can do it!

For anyone that in their tuition contract was scheduled to work the “day of” Mardi Gras this year, there are a few volunteer shifts that are happening the weekend of February 26th in order to get our auction item pickups completed. The majority of our help is still going to be needed for the Friday, May 20 dueling piano evening, but if you are available to help the weekend of Feb 26 or already know that the weekend of May 20 doesn't work for you, please sign up to help with the auction now.

Parent Teacher Conferences: Please make sure you arrive a few minutes early to keep all of our teachers on schedule. The schedules are tight for many of them, so please be respectful of time and schedules.

Book Fair: Please support our Scholastic Book Fair which will take place in the gym until Monday, Feb. 21. It will be open from 2:30-4:00 Wednesday, 2:30-7:00 on Thursday and Monday, and 12:30-2:00 on Friday. If you have any questions about the Book Fair please feel free to contact the school.

Fish Fry Time!: We will again be offering drive thru fish frys on Fridays during Lent. The dates are March 4, 18, April 1, 15. The times for the fish fry will be from 4:30-7:00 pm. If you would like to donate a dessert for the fish frys they need to be at school by the day before (Thursdays). We hope your family can join us during this time!

Thank you so much for your continued support of St. Victor School and St. Clare of Assisi Parish. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call school (608)325-3395 or email, joepeters@stvictormonroe.org.

God Bless,

Joe Peters
