April 21, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians:

We continue to push through this year, it is hard to believe we are coming to the end of April. There are many great things ahead of us for the end of the year. Please know how much I appreciate your vigilance and keeping your children home (and getting them tested) if they have COVID symptoms.

PHONE SERVICE: On Friday, April 23 we will be switching over to a new phone system provided by Charter. This means that we will be without phone service from 9:00-12:30 pm. If you are in need of getting a hold of us at school I would encourage you to email, or you can call (608)325-9506-which is the phone number for the church. Again I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but this was the time that Charter was able to make the conversion.

Battle of the Books: Congratulations to the Sports Books: Chase Huschitt, Emiliano Torres, Lucas Veeder and Lincoln Watson for their win in last Friday’s Battle of the Books. Due to COVID this year we were able to hold only a school wide competition. We had four teams compete and it was wonderful to watch them share their knowledge of the books and authors. Thanks to Mrs. Wellnitz for preparing our students for this, as well as Mrs. Booth, Mrs. Klitzke and Mrs. Waski for writing questions for the event.

First Communion Weekend: Please keep our second and some third graders in your prayers as they make their First Communion this weekend! It is a great time in their faith journey and we are very proud of them. Thank you Mrs. Shuda for her great work in preparing our students.

Home and School General Meeting: Next Tuesday, April 27 is our Home and School General Meeting at 6:00 pm in the gym. Masks are required and social distancing will happen. In this week’s envelope is the agenda, minutes from last fall’s meeting, and treasurer’s report. We will review the year, and discuss the projects that are planned for the summer, as well as future projects and events. We currently have two board positions available for the next two school years: Social Activities and Fundraising. If you would like to be part of the Home and School Board (which meets one time a month for about an hour each meeting), please feel free to reach out to me and let me know you are interested. We hope to see many of you at our meeting on Tuesday, April 27.

Thank you so much for your continued support of St. Victor School. We continue to look forward to a strong finish to the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call (608)325-3395 or email me at joepeters@stvictormonroe.org.

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
