October 26, 2022

Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is great to be back, I had a wonderful time on vacation. Thanks to Mrs. Coplien and the entire staff here for taking care of our school. They really are truly amazing. It is hard to believe we are coming to the end of our second full month of school! A reminder there is NO SCHOOL this Friday, Oct. 28, enjoy your mini-fall break!

I heard great things about our students at both the Oct. 16th 10:00 am mass and the concert at the MAC. It makes me so proud when our students can share their love of our faith and music with others.

Halloween 2022: We again will celebrate Halloween on Monday, Oct. 31. If parents would like to join us for the Table and Treat (info was in last week’s & today’s envelope). We will begin with a short Halloween parade at 2:15 in the gym, followed by the Table and Treat. If students would like to wear their costumes all day, please make sure they are able to independently manage the bathroom, if not please send their costumes for them to change into. Whatever is most convenient for your family. Please make sure the costumes fit our dress code.

A reminder no violent or overly scary costumes, overly tight (modesty please) and no weapons.

Picture Retake Day: If you would like to have your child’s school pictures retaken, it will be on Wednesday, November 2. You need to return your child’s original picture packet back to school if you intend to have retakes. If your child was absent on the original day, they will get their picture taken on retake day (even if you did not order them), so their picture can appear in the classroom composites. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the office.

Christian Parenting in a Technology Driven World: On Thursday, November 10 we are excited to bring to St. Clare of Assisi Parish/St. Victor School Justin Bangert a well known Christian counselor and speaker. This is a great opportunity for parents (and 6th grade students and older) to learn about how you can continue to be a true Christian as we navigate social media and technology. The talk will begin at 6:30 pm in the new lower level at church. Child care is provided for 6 months to 5th grade. Please plan on attending, this is a great opportunity for all of us!

Monday, Nov. 14: There will be NO SCHOOL for St. Victor School students(4K-6th grades) only on Monday, Nov. 14. Some of the faculty will be traveling to Dodgeville for a Math Professional Development day, while the other half will be traveling to St. Jerome’s in Columbus.

Monday, November 28: There is NO SCHOOL for 4K on this day. The School District of Monroe is also not in school that day, but there WILL BE SCHOOL for St. Victor School. NO busing but hot lunch will be provided that day.

Brunch with Santa: It is that time again! We are preparing for our Brunch with Santa to return back to our school gym on Saturday, Dec. 10. This is such an important community event and fundraiser for our school. There are many ways for your family to be involved, and there is information in today’s envelope regarding this. A reminder most of you will be volunteering that day to help (per your tuition contract). Let’s make this return back to in person Brunch our best one ever!

Thank you so much for your continued support of St. Victor School. It is a blessing to be part of this amazing community. I was so proud of our students at the Deanery Mass yesterday. They sang out and participated and behaved extremely well. We have the best students and staff around!

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
