Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is hard to believe that we are at the final family letter and envelope of the year! I can’t thank you enough for all you have done to make this school year possible. We have had quite a year, but one with many great successes. We have all faced some serious challenges but we have made it through!

Msgr. Larry Retirement: A reminder that Msgr. Larry will be retiring in the middle of July. His final all school mass will be tomorrow, Thursday, May 26. For many of you this is a new experience when a pastor retires or moves on, for me this is the third time. Each time we have been blessed with someone who believes so much in our mission and is totally committed to our school (your child’s school). Due to the leadership of someone like Msgr. Larry the parish community of St. Clare of Assisi is able to pay for 58% of your child’s education. Due to the leadership of someone like Msgr. Larry we are able to have wonderful teachers, which includes programs such as Music, PE, Spanish, Technology, Art and our Barton program. I believe, whether you are Catholic or not, it would be nice for Msgr. Larry to hear from you and your family, he has managed a lot in the past years, and his commitment to our school has never wavered. PLEASE take some time to thank him for this.

School Calendar: Enclosed is a calendar for the school year 2021-22. A heads up, next year the following changes will occur:

SCHOOL START TIME: 8:00 am (students need to be in their spots by 8:00)

SCHOOL DISMISSAL TIME: 3:10 pm

SCHOOL DISMISSAL TIME FRIDAYS: 1:10 pm

A more detailed calendar with events will be coming soon, via email.

School Supply List: Enclosed is the supply list for next year. Please don’t lose this and happy school shopping!

Job Openings: We are still looking for people who are interested in the hot lunch director position and academic tutor. If you are interested, please contact me at school.

Tuition Information Sheet: There is a document located in today’s envelope with information about your tuition for next year. IF you meet the SCRIP rebate requirements that number is based on purchases through May 24, 2021. We will send another form in August in your back to school packet with the official amount of SCRIP rebate updates (since you can purchase SCRIP through June 30 to apply to next year’s tuition). For those of you who signed on your tuition contract to work the Green County Fair, your schedule is included in this envelope as well.

Report Cards: Report cards will be going on home on Tuesday, June 1. As always if you have concerns or questions about your child’s grades please feel free to contact your child’s teacher (or the teacher who gave the grade).

Pool Party, June 1: A reminder we are going to the pool on Tuesday, June 1 from 12:30-2:00 pm. Your child should bring a suit, towel, sunscreen with them in a bag on Tuesday. They will change at school, walk to the pool, return back to school and change to go home. If your child is not comfortable swimming in the big pool they will be able to use the ducky pool. There will be plenty of lifeguards to keep an eye on the students. If you would like to join us for that afternoon, you are welcome. We look forward to a great afternoon!

Thank You: I would like to take this time to thank our amazing teachers and staff that weathered this incredibly stressful and crazy school year. They showed great dedication to your children and families during this time of COVID. They do what they do for the love of your children and the belief in our mission, I would encourage you to take some time to thank them all for this amazing school year!

From the Library: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE return your library books this week. This will allow Mrs. Wellnitz to get them back on the shelves for next year’s students.

Summer Office Hours: The school office will be open during the month of June from 8-Noon daily, but PLEASE call before you stop by, as we have meetings and other things that may take us away from here. We are also accessible via email.

Again, thank you so much for all of your support this school year. We are blessed to be part of this amazing parish and school community. On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of St. Victor School we pray that you have a restful, safe and wonderful summer break! Please keep your eyes open for pertinent information that will be emailed to you during the summer. Have a great summer vacation!

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
