Dear Parents and Guardians:
We are in full swing for the final weeks of the school year! We have all worked so hard to get to this point. I encourage all of us to continue to work hard on our day to day assignments and activities, to continue to focus on positive behavior and following our rules, to make sure we continue to follow the dress code. It is easy to want to “coast” toward the end of the school year, but there is way too much to accomplish yet! So please continue to work hard!
Spring Concert: A reminder that our Spring Music Concert will be held at Twining Park on Wednesday, May 26 at 6:30pm. The bleacher seating at the bandshell is somewhat limited so I would encourage your family to bring chairs/blankets for the concert. Students are to be wearing their tie dye shirts. Just to let you know, as tradition, the “up front” seating we usually reserve for our 5th grade families as for many of them this will be their last concert at St. Victor School. Please be aware that when you arrive there will be an area roped off for these families (you may want to share that information with your other family members as well). Home and School will be providing snacks for students and families that evening (popcorn and bottles of water), please feel free to bring your own food as well. Students will be sitting with their families until their class is called up to sing, so it will be much more of a relaxed atmosphere. Please plan to arrive at Twining Park around 6:00 pm.
Art Fair 20-21: Due to Covid we are unable to host our annual Art Fair. Mrs. Cooper has arranged a virtual Art Fair for all of our families (and extended families) to see. Over the month of May, Mrs. Cooper will be uploading pictures of each student's art projects for the year. Keep checking
to see if your student's picture is available. Please share this link with family and friends that may want to see your kiddo's excellent work this year. Updates will continue to be shared on our facebook page as well.
Planting Day: As tradition we will be planting pots of flowers and our school garden. This will take place on Monday, May 17. Each grade will be assigned a specific spot around church or school to plant. I would encourage your students to wear older clothes as some of them “may” get a bit dirty. Thanks to the Potting Shed for providing the flowers for this event.
Vacation Bible School (VBS): Attached to this email is the registration form for our St. Clare of Assisi VBS this year. Dates for VBS are the week of August 2-5, please note there are choices about dates and times to attend. Miss Betsy is also looking for older students (5th grade and up) to serve as “guides” during the experience. Please look these forms over and register soon! If you have any questions, you can contact Miss Betsy at the Parish (608)325-9506.
End of the Year: The end of the year is quickly approaching, I wanted to remind you of a few things:
June 1 is the final day of school for 4K and 5th grade. Our Pool Party for students in K-5th will be from 1:00-2:30. When we return we will have a clap out for our 5th graders! That evening is graduation for these students at 5:30 in church.
June 2 is the final day for all students K-4th grade. The release time this day is at 11:10. There will be no lunch served that day.
Thank you so much for your continued support of St. Victor School. We are truly blessed to have such a supportive parish community that allows us this opportunity to have our amazing school! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school (608)325-3395 or email joepeters@stvictormonroe.org.
God Bless,
Joe Peters
Principal
