Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome back to a new year! I hope and pray that your Christmas and New Years were great! It is always nice to have some time away. As we begin a new year, I would encourage you to make sure your children get to school on time. School begins at 8:00am, we have many students that are regularly tardy. Maybe leaving 5-10 minutes early each day would change this. A reminder that you can drop off students beginning at 7:45 am.

4K Registration: The School District of Monroe will begin their registration for 4K for the 22-23 school year. Enclosed in this packet is the information on how to register for 4K. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school, or the District Office (608)328-7041.

Catholic Schools Week 2022: This year we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week on January 29 with our Catholic Schools Kick Off liturgy and dance, followed by activities all week long (Jan. 31-Feb. 4). A formalized list of the events will be coming soon (via email). This is a great week to celebrate our uniqueness as a school and community!

Mardi Gras: Our spring fundraiser, Mardi Gras will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Turner Hall in Monroe. This evening will feature dinner, refreshments, games, auction, and live dueling piano entertainment with Howl2Go from Chicago. This event is a huge fundraiser for our school, netting on average close to $50,000! To make this event successful we again need your help. Raffle tickets are an easy way to get family members involved in raising funds, even if they don’t attend the event. Donations(such as craft making, talents, season tickets to the Badgers, Overture season tickets, a cottage up north, cooking expertise, all make great auction items) to our live and silent auctions are always incredibly helpful. Finally your attendance at the event also makes it fun and a huge success. Start planning now for your friends and family to join us for this adult only event! There is a lot of information in today’s family envelope regarding Mardi Gras. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Snow Days: A reminder that St. Victor School will follow the School District of Monroe regarding days off for bad weather. You should receive notification from the School District and a text message and email from St. Victor School. When watching news, please note they will not list St. Victor School separately, we are included in the School District of Monroe weather related delays/cancellations.

Menu Change: Jan. 21 we will be having popcorn chicken instead of mozzarella stuffed breadstick.

Thank you so much for all of your continued support of our school. The next several months will be busy with Catholic Schools Week, Parent Teacher Conferences, Book Fair and Mardi Gras! We look forward to sharing all of these wonderful events with your family. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school (608)325-3395, or via email (joepeters@stvictormonroe.org).

God Bless,

Joe Peters
