Dear Parents and Guardians:

Our Catholic Schools Week celebration will kick off with students being in the choir and reading at the 4:30 pm mass. We encourage your family to join us! The Glow for the Gold dance will be from 5:30-7:00 pm in the gym. The cost is $2.00 per person to cover the cost of dinner. The week will be filled with many great events, so please consult the calendar that was sent home last week. During CSW we will have special snacks each day, for this week all snacks will be FREE to all students.

NO SCHOOL REMINDER: St. Victor School ONLY will have NO school on Monday, Feb. 7.

School Closures: If you did not receive a phone call/text from the School District of Monroe regarding no school yesterday, would you please let me know. I have heard from a few of you that you did not. I want to make sure that your names get added to that call/text/email list. Thank you.

Mardi Gras: I wanted to update you all, we have made the decision to move Mardi Gras to a virtual event again this year. Although that is disappointing for many of us, I wanted you to know that we are planning a “Dueling Piano” spring event (Friday, May 20), where we can enjoy the music and fun of Howl2Go Dueling Pianos. As we move to plan the event, I will keep you posted about how your family(extended and friends) can view, participate, donate and enjoy an hour of fun and craziness on Saturday, Feb. 26. Please know how much I appreciate all the support that you continue to provide to our school. It is going to be a fun night for all. Please continue to sell those raffle tickets, make donations to the silent auction, and share the virtual Mardi Gras information with your friends and family (when it becomes available). If you have any questions about Mardi Gras, please feel free to contact me at school.

Book Fair: We are bringing back the Scholastic Book Fair to our school! Mrs. Schluesche has the fair scheduled from Tuesday, Feb. 15 through Monday, February 21. More details will be coming, but we are looking forward to a great fair that offers students a wonderful opportunity to grow their own personal libraries at home.

Lunch/Snack Account Balances: In today’s family envelope you are receiving a “balance” of your hot lunch/snack account. We have had some trouble with our accounting program and then we switched to hot lunch through the School District. We are finally able to get this accurate information to your family. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jenni. For those of you who have a positive amount in your account, we will forward that to next school year, or put it toward snack break(the remaining amount for snacks for the year is $31.60). For those of you who owe, we would ask that you please pay in a timely manner. Please know how much we appreciate your patience in all of this. A reminder that if your account balance shows a negative (-) amount that is really positive account balance (sorry for this confusion).

Tuition Statements: There is a letter and tuition statement in today’s family folder. If you have a large abundance in your hot lunch account and would like to apply this toward tuition, please let Marci know (608)325-9506). If you have any other questions or concerns regarding tuition please feel free to reach out.

Parent Teacher Conference Sign Up: We will again be using Sign Up Genius for February Parent Teacher Conferences. These conferences will be held in person (unless you reach out to your child’s teacher for a virtual option). The dates for conferences are Thursday, Feb. 17 and Monday, February 21. For students in K-5th grade conferences are 10 minutes, for 4K conferences are 15 minutes. A separate email was sent home with the links earlier in this week. If you need the link re-sent let me know.

Thank you so much for the sacrifices you make for your child to attend St. Victor School. We are blessed with the dedication of our great parish and families. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call school, (608)325-3395 or email, joepeters@stvictormonroe.org.

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
