Dear Parents and Guardians:

Catholic Schools Week 2023: We will begin with the mass and kick off dance next Saturday, Jan. 28! I am still looking for some volunteers to help with readings at that mass( a reminder for your child to attend the dance, they need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian…it is not a drop them off and pick them up later). Please remember to RSVP for the event, as well as permission to watch the film, Moana on Friday, Feb. 3.

School Musical: There is information for our 4-5-6 graders to be part of our first school musical! Ms. Blanc and Mrs. Southerland will be directing and organizing this after school event. I encourage all of our students to be part of this first of a kind event!

Parent Teacher Conferences: Our winter conferences will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 and Monday, Feb. 13 for students in grades 4K-5th grade. 6th grade conferences will be held at a later date. Below are the links to sign up for your conference. NOTE There will only be one date for 3rd Grade conferences as Mrs. Caldwell will be out of town. If you are unable to make that Thursday time, please reach out to Mrs. Caldwell and let her know of a time to reschedule. Thank you.

Mardi Gras: Please continue to sell those raffle tickets! It is part of your tuition contract (families in K-6th) and it is an easy way to support this event. We continue to look for donations, as well as for those of you who signed up to work the night of Mardi Gras, a sign up will be coming shortly. This event is so important to our school and community, please help us out where you can!The kids are getting excited about hitting the prize levels of our raffle ticket sales, please help your kids reach our sales goals so they can celebrate at school.

250 total raffle tickets sold:

Mr. Peters spends the day in a special surprise costume (I think it is going to be T-rex-iffic)

500 total raffle tickets sold: Movie and popcorn day

750 total raffle tickets sold:

Students will turn Mr. Peters into a human ice cream sundae by adding whipped cream, chocolate, caramel sauce and cherries!

800 total raffle tickets sold: One lucky student will become Principal for the Day!

Also, we are still looking for donations for the online auction, please get creative or if you like to shop, check out our amazon wish list for fillers we need for baskets. This list will update frequently starting around Feb 1 as we begin to finalize baskets. The link is https://a.co/3MMvY2L

Foley Family Scrip Card Donations: Kristina and James Foley, who recently attended and graduated from St. Victor School, are in need of our help. Their mom, Sabrina Foley, passed away in December. The parish and school are seeking donations of Scrip cards for our former students and parish members. Gift cards from WalMart, Target, or Amazon, or cash donations are needed. To donate, send gift cards or money to St. Victor School or St. Clare of Assisi Parish (checks should be made out to St. Victor School) by February 3. Please write “Foley Family” on your check or envelope. Donations may also be placed in the weekend parish collection basket. James (freshman) and Kristina (junior) have moved from Monroe to live with their aunt in Iowa. Please keep the Foley family in your prayers.

Thank you so much for your support of St. Victor School! If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at school, (608)325-3395 or email (joepeters@stvictormonroe.org).

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
