Dear Parents and Guardians:

As expected we have experienced some COVID hiccups after the Christmas holiday. We currently have one class on quarantine. Please make sure you keep your child home if they are not feeling well, and if they or anyone in your family are suffering from symptoms I encourage testing. We all need to continue to work together to make sure we keep our students and staff safe.

4K Intent Form: For our 4K families there is a form located in today’s envelope regarding your intention for Kindergarten next year. This form just gives us an idea of what type of numbers to expect when moving forward with planning. If you are unsure of your decision, that is an option as well. Tuition information and contracts will come out in March to get your child officially registered for St. Victor School for the fall of 2021. If you have any questions just let me know.

Guest Author: We will welcome Mrs. Nikki Cooper (our amazing Art teacher) as guest author on January 26. This special appearance is sponsored by the Charlene Barry memorial. Charlene was the librarian at St. Victor School for many years. Part of her memorial has been designated to promote writing and books, and what better way than with our own Mrs. Cooper! If you would like to order a copy of Mrs. Cooper’s book there is an order form attached to this week’s email and in the Wednesday folder. Please return the order form by Friday Jan. 22nd. We look forward to this wonderful opportunity.

Catholic Schools Week 2021: This year we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week beginning on Saturday, Jan. 30. Although many of our activities will move from all school celebrations to just our classrooms, we will still have a great chance to celebrate our wonderful school! The schedule is attached to this email. Please note that many days have special dress attached to them. Please join us in participating and making this week wonderful for all!

Second Semester Milk Break: If you have not paid for milk break milk for the entire year, the second semester is due by Friday, Feb. 5. The cost for students in grades K-5 is $36.45 and for 4K students is $29.70.Please make checks payable to St. Victor School. A reminder that milk break is optional and not required. If your intention is to not continue with milk, please let the office know (jennic@stvictormonroe.org).

Monday, Feb. 8: There will be NO SCHOOL for St. Victor School only on Monday, Feb. 8. This is a scheduled morning inservice through the Diocese of Madison. Please enjoy that long weekend!

Mardi Gras Madness, Saturday, March 13: We are moving full steam ahead on our virtual Mardi Gras experience! This will be an interactive night that will be family friendly. We again are in need of you to sell the raffle tickets that were sent home right before Christmas break, please turn those into the office as soon as possible. We also are looking for items that have a connection to our school community, families, or students, these items do well in our silent auction. One of a kind items usually brings great interests. There is a family donation sheet in the Wednesday folder today if you would like to donate an item. Be creative! If you have any questions about the event, please do not hesitate to contact school. Thanks in advance for your support of this event and our school.

Thank you so much for your continued support of St. Victor School. We appreciate the sacrifices you make to send your children to our school. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email.

God Bless,

Joe
