February 3 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians:

So as normal, weather is always in control of Catholic Schools Week! You will be receiving notification from the School District of Monroe, there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 4 for us. As far as a decision regarding Friday’s school day that will be made either tomorrow evening or Friday morning. As always the safety and health of all students, staff and families is priority #1! If we are here on Friday, Feb. 5 we will be in our PJs with popcorn, at this point we will move Cheeseburger day to this Friday and Papa Murphy Pizza to next Friday, Feb. 12.

We have been having an amazing 3 days of Catholic Schools Week! We are so blessed to be part of such an amazing community that supports and believes strongly in our mission. Did you know that St. Victor School is almost 105 years old? That’s a lot of students, teachers, and families who have made their way through our school. Thank you for choosing to be part of this amazing tradition!

Monday, Feb. 8: There is NO SCHOOL FOR ST. VICTOR ONLY, on Monday, Feb. 8. We will spend the morning in virtual inservice with the Diocese of Madison. We will also be doing Parent Teacher Conferences later that afternoon. Enjoy a long weekend!

Parent Teacher Conferences: There are still a few families that have not signed up for PT conferences. Please make sure you do that before Friday, Feb. 5.

Mardi Gras Madness Raffle Tickets: We have hit our first goal of over 200 tickets. Please continue to sell tickets to your family and friends. If you need more tickets, please contact the school office and we can send more home! Thanks for continuing to support this event.

Mardi Gras Madness, Saturday, March 13 7:00-9:00: We are gearing up for our first (and only) virtual Mardi Gras Madness, which will take place on Saturday, March 13. This event will take place on both Facebook Live and our Parish website. The night will be an interactive event you can follow along with from the comfort of your own home. You can pre register for a “Party Pack '' which includes a take and bake Suisse Haus pizza, beverages from Blumer’s Soda and Pecatonica Brewing, t-shirts, game day posterboard, and a few more items. During the night there will be chances for your family to interact with the event, bid on silent auction items, watch our 5th graders provide some entertainment, and much more! This event can be viewed by anyone, so you may want to encourage your local friends and family to pick up a “party pack” as well as family from far away to watch and bid on the cool auction items. More details will be coming!

There have been some really great donations from our school families for the silent auction! Please if you have some great ideas or something you would like to donate do not hesitate to contact school! We are excited to have a large fan base that will be watching and many unique items will be great for our event!

Milk Break: Please don’t forget if your child is planning on taking milk break milk, the payments are due by Feb. 5. The cost for K-5th is $36.45 and $29.70 for 4K. If you have questions please feel free to call school and Jenni will get you all set up.

Jump Rope for Heart: There is an attached letter from Mr. Gissing regarding participation in Jump for Heart this February. This is a great way to support the American Heart Association. If you have any questions about this program, you can email Mr. Gissing at phyed@stvictormonroe.org.

Thank you again for your continued support of St. Victor School. We look forward to a chance to visit with you during our “zoom conferences”, please make sure that you are aware of the time you signed up for. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school.

God Bless,

Joe Peters
