Dear Parents and Guardians:

Mardi Gras: The big weekend is upon us! We are looking forward to a great night on Saturday night from 7:00-8:00, it will be some goofy fun, and a great way to support our school. The virtual auction goes live on this Thursday, Feb. 24 at 3:00pm and ends Sunday, Feb. 27 at 12:00pm the link for this is:

This is where you can check out our wonderful items, place bids, or make a donation toward our MYSTERY ITEM. I would ask that you PLEASE share this link with your family and friends. Everyone can bid or donate to make this event such a huge success. We have so many people to thank: sponsors, donors, our families, and our committee. This event would not be possible without such a caring community that believes in our students and school. There is still time to sell raffle tickets, the drawing will take place on Saturday night, so turn them in by Friday!

Ash Wednesday: Next Wednesday, March 2 we will enter into the church season of Lent. Lent is 40 days where we focus our hearts and minds as we grow in our faith. During Lent there are three aspects that Catholics focus on: increasing their prayer life, almsgiving (giving money to the poor or less fortunate), and fasting (not eating meat on Fridays or giving up something). We will be attending mass next Wednesday at 8:30, during this mass students will be marked with the sign of the cross in ashes to let us know we can work hard to be better people during the 40 days ahead. I would ask your family to be part of this Lenten journey with us.

Fish Frys: St. Clare of Assisi Parish will continue to offer Lenten Drive Thru Fish Frys on the following dates: March 4, March 18, April 1, April 15. The times will be from 4:30-7:00 pm. We are in need of homemade desserts during these fish frys (brownies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies). If you would like to bring a dessert, please contact the school office. These desserts will need to be delivered to school by Thursday before 3:30.

Calendar 22-23: Enclosed in today’s family envelope is the school calendar for the 2022-23 school year. As of now, I would consider this the final draft, but as always we all need to be flexible. There are three days that only St. Victor School is off (but the rest of the district will have school): Friday, Sept. 23, Friday, March 10, and Monday, April 10.

Thank you so much for your attendance at parent teacher conferences. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me at school, (608)325-3395 or email (joepeters@stvictormonroe.org).

Happy Mardi Gras!

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
