Dear Parents and Guardians:
Thank you to all who attended last night’s Home and School General Meeting. The winners of the SCRIP gift cards were: Janet Shuda and Deb Hillary and the winning class with the most families represented was a tie First and Fifth grades, they will receive a Dilly Bar Party!
Congratulations to our Second Graders who will be making their First Communion this weekend: Isabella Chagoya, Haddie Junk, Emily Kruse, Dior Mick, Jordan Phillips, Mari Spurlock. Congratulations also to Dior Mick who will be baptized this weekend as well! What a wonderful time for these students in their faith journey.
Congratulations to the following winners of the Women’s Club Writing Contest: Finnian Coplien, Kieran Hays, Gabriel Wilson, Emily Kruse, Ivy McKibben, Madelyn Stietz, and Elizabeth Veeder. They will attend an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 4.
Field Trips: In today’s envelope are the field trip forms for the remainder of the year. I apologize for not communicating with you sooner regarding these trips, as we needed to finalize certain details with the places we are visiting:
4th and 5th Grade: State Capitol/Zoo on Monday, May 9
1st Grade: Wide Mouth Frog Play at Aster and Hand and Hand Tuesday, May 17
2nd and 3rd Grade: Dubuque River Museum on Monday, May 23
5th Grade: Kalahari on Monday, May 23
K and 1st Grade: Madison Zoo on Tuesday, May 31
K-5th Grade: Pool Party June 1
Please make sure you fill out all the permission slips and return to the office, for most of these trips chaperones are needed, a reminder that younger siblings are not allowed to attend the field trips except for the swimming party at the end of the year. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Dueling Pianos: We are getting ready for a great night of food, fun and wonderful entertainment on Friday, May 20. The Howl2Go Dueling Pianos will be here at St. Victor School gym beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person, which includes food, drink and the show. I hope you can join us for this great event!
