Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is hard to believe this is our final envelope of the month of April. Things are really moving along quickly! There is so much to do in the weeks ahead! Thank you to those who attended our Home and School General Meeting last evening.

Thank you to those who donated for our Jump Rope for Heart program through Mr. Gissing and our physical education department. We collected $136.47 for the American Heart Society.

DROP OFF: A reminder students should not be dropped off before 7:45 am, if they are walking they should plan to arrive right at 7:45 or a bit later. As of late many students are arriving at 7:30 or so. Thank you in advance for helping us out with this.

Cemetery Clean Up: the 4-5-6 graders will be heading to Calvary Cemetery to do a spring clean up tomorrow. I would encourage everyone to bring old clothes to change into.

Friday, April 28: We will be celebrating our Mardi Gras raffle ticket success with the movie, Lyle Lyle Crocodile. Students are able to bring stuffed animals and blankets but no PJS please. Also our 6th graders will be sponsoring an after school activity fundraiser from 1:15-5:00. There will be activities planned and a suggested donation of $10 per child. Please RSVP to have your child attend.

Bright Beginnings: In today’s envelope is information from Bright Beginnings, the childcare program from St. John's UCC. There is information about who to contact along with prices, etc.

Sunday, May 14: We again have been asked to sing, greet and do the readings for the 10:00 am mass on Sunday, May 14 (Mother’s Day). This is a great chance for us to show off our amazing school to the rest of our parish community. It is also a great time to celebrate Mother’s Day by being in church. I hope you are able to join us for this mass!

Monday, May 15: This will be our designated Spring Planting Day. This is such a wonderful and fun event for our school community. More information will be coming, but I would encourage older clothing and gardening tools for this day!

Spring Concert: Our plan is again to do our Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:30 pm at the Twinning Park Band Shell. More information will be coming, but please plan to bring your chairs and enjoy a night of beautiful music.

Marketing of St. Victor School: We need your help! If you are interested in putting a yard sign in your front yard promoting our school, we have some available. We are trying to limit these signs to those people who live “in town” as it maximizes our audience. Please let the office know if you are interested. A reminder that word of mouth is the best way to market our school, and we can always use your help in making this happen.

Teacher Appreciation Week: This week will take place from May 8-12. We thank Home and School for planning some nice events for this week for our staff. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful teachers working with our students and families.

4K drop off: As we start to move our 4K students into the role of future Kindergarten students we would like to have the students “get dropped off” and not “walked into school” starting May 1. This will allow them to begin the transition to being Kindergarten students no matter where they are attending Kindergarten this fall. Most of them are definitely more independent and will be able to handle this transition. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for choosing St. Victor School for your child’s education. We enjoy partnering with you to support your child and their education. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school.

God Bless,

Joe Peters

Principal
